Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop tools for Automated Testing Infrastructure
- Collaborate with the development team, QA, Systems and Documentation team as required
- Work with Peers and end-users in a geographically distributed Altair Engineering teams to facilitate smooth integration and operation of Software Production and Automated Testing tools and processes
- Implement scripts to verify and report issues with builds and tests
- Update user guide with latest & relevant information
- Meet release requirements in a timely manner
Desired Profile:
- Good Problem Solving Skills
- In-depth hands-on experience with Windows, Linux/Unix (Mac is desirable)
- Hands-on with C++, Python/ Shell script
- MYSQL experience would be a plus
- Experience in bug tracking tools (experience with Jira preferred)
- Good trouble-shooting and diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of various SDLC methodologies (experience with Agile preferred)
- Good understanding of code management tools (perforce experience would be a plus)
- Should be able to design & implement tools based on requirements provided
- Should be able to work independently with very little assistance
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing technology environment
- Good time management and organizational skills
- A passion for excellence, attention to detail and strong customer focus
- Strong communication skills (verbal/written) - the ability to articulate clearly and succinctly to a variety of audiences (PMs, Technical Specialists, Developers, QA, etc)
