Job Description:
1. Sustaining critical components in HDP.
2. Analyze complex customer reported issues that require strong analytical and technical skills
3. Debug system level deployment issues, root cause analysis, and resolve failures
4. Fast-track escalations, identify trends, and develop action plans to mitigate/avoid issues.
5. Root cause analysis reports on any Severity 1 incidents including recommendations to improve proactive management of Hadoop deployments
6. Resolve issues that may require producing enterprise-ready patches or hotfixes
7. Troubleshoot performance, scalability bottlenecks and suggest solutions
8. Work with support/QA/Engineering teams through the entire lifecycle of product/patch releases
9. Assist in developing support tools for business integration and for monitoring purpose
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications: Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent
Experience: 3+ years of Java/J2EE development and/or sustaining experience with good understanding of distributed & large scale systems
Required Skills:
1. Passionate about troubleshooting and resolving complex issues with faster turnaround times
2. Good understanding of full-stack JavaScript development
3. Expert user of JavaScript libraries (angular.js, Ember.js, jQuery, ExtJS, Dojo etc.)
4. Expertise in HTML/CSS and full-stack web application is a plus
5. Expert knowledge of RESTful services design, development, and testing
6. Ability to quickly develop prototypes and iterate based on feedback.
7. Development experience in Linux environments
8. Solid understanding and deep technical knowledge of Hadoop components across the stack
9. Strong knowledge of state of the art quality engineering and test automation tools and processes, including JUnit, Jenkins, Selenium, Mockito and Git, or comparable technologies
